Silkosia is located in the village of Bulgari and Kosti village, Tsarevo municipality with an area of 1022 hectares. It was declared a reserve for particularly valuable and rare forest tree species, and characteristic shrub and herbaceous vegetation, which are in great interest in dendrology, floristic, phytogeographic and ecological standpoint. It is the first reserve in Bulgaria preserves valuable plant and wildlife. Typical of the forest tree communities of Strandja. Vegetation of the reserve is significant. It is the presence of 260 species of vascular plants, representing 22.6% of the Strandja flora and transmits high value of the protected area. There are 16 species of relict and 3 species of endemic plants. Most impressive are the forest formations of oak, beech and eastern undergrowth of evergreen shrubs with relative primitiveness. There are also formations of oak and heather. Along with representatives of the Mediterranean flora here can be found Euxeinos and Pontic species that transmit unique type of communities such as Strandzha periwinkle, lazhnik, pontica cub raffia, bitinski squill, medlar, East Lopon, chashkova zvanika and others. The park includes more than 50 protected animal species, mammals, birds, reptiles.

Uzunbudzhak –  located near the village of Kosti. Billed as the conservation of old deciduous mixed forests of oak and Oriental beech. The total area is 2581 hectares. Buffer zone is 488 hectares. The steep terrain of the mountainous territory transmitted mountain character of the area. Southern boundary is Rezovska River  which collects water from many streams from numerous gullies. The park is the largest protected area. It protects much of the phyitofond of northern Strandja, populations of 61 species of conservation significance and representative communities and habitats characteristic of euxeinos phytogeographic provinces.

The reserve is an Important Bird Area in Strandja, and a European and world importance for conservation of ornitho fauna. Vegetation in a forest reserve and belongs to type south euxeinos mesophytic deciduous vegetation types, with major Oriental beech and oak with typical eastern part of the Tertiary relicts and Strandja oak lavrovishna, Strandja periwinkle, Pontic furious wood, Common holly, chashkovidna zvanika, Strandja blueberry, Caucasian primrose, wild medlar and others. The reserve established 651 species and subspecies of higher plants belonging to 329 genera and 85 families. Ornithofauna in the reserve is very diverse. Diversity is in amphibians and reptiles. Since most characteristic fish species is endemic Rezovska shad. There can be seen also black barbell. Great fauna and flora, which has reserves Uzunbodzhak, rare and relict species that are protected in it, determine its location is especially important in preserving biodiversity of Strandja.

Vitanovo – is the land of the town of Malko Tarnovo to the Bulgarian-Turkish border. Located 9 km from Malko Tarnovo and 5 km from the village Brashlyan.

The high parts of the reserve reaches 650 m altitude. The reserve is a typical forest. It dominated eastern beech .. On its territory are identified 462 species of vascular plants in 69 families and 264 genera. With conservation status are 23 species, with the category “rare” are 20 species, while in the category “endangered” are 3.

The prevalence of plant from Mediterranean group is one of the most characteristic features of the vegetation in the reserve Vitanovo and the surrounding  area.

The great wealth are karst springs in Large and Small Aidere and cave formations. Bratanova cave with beautiful rooms and shapes of stalactites and stalagmites has been well studied. In the clear waters of Aidere naturally occurring trout. In Vitanovo inhabit all the wild animals typical of the park. This area is reserved one of the few natural populations of deer. In the distant past there was likely and bears, judging by the names of other areas – Mechi dol, Mechkobievo, Mechovi polyani.

Sredoka – located between the town of Malko Tarnovo and the village Stoilovo in difficult accessible scenic gorge. Characteristic for the reserve are beech forests with holly and laurel. Attend a special type of oak trees growing on steep slopes with mixed lazhnik. The reserve is a set of characteristic ecosystems, represented by beech forests and habitats of rare and endangered species listed in Red Book. This region of Strandja is characterized by large quantities of heather. Dominated by mixed forests of eastern beech, oak and eastern oak. There are pure forests of eastern beech aged 140 years. Here are the endemic for Strandzha red pirakanta, laurel, chashkovidna zvanika, pontica wildly tree Strandzha blueberry, Kolhidian Dzhel. The average age of forests in the reserve is 77 years.

Tisovitsa – located in the inaccessible area near the village of Bulgari and Kondolovo. It is a typical forest reserve. Announced for the preservation of natural forest ecosystems of eastern beech, eastern oak, and habitat of rare and endangered plant and animal species. Its features are Strandzha periwinkle, pontica wildly tree, Kolhidian Dzhel, yew and other ordinary.
